L# h% ]/ A' OFuture Generations China has enjoyed 25 years of work in China that includes establishing the Qomolangma/Mt Everest National Nature Preserve, the Pendeba Program of community-based health and income development, the Lhalu Wetlands National Preserve in Lhasa City, and the launch of the Green Long March, one of China’s largest youth conservation movements that mobilizes university students across the nation to participate in community-based sustainable development work.4 ~0 f2 F0 n1 U4 A4 F  a

( ?9 y' k1 _2 |6 _0 [4 w5 BFuture Generations China builds leadership capacity among university youth, government, and communities to sustain ecosystem services and ensure sustainable livelihoods. Our work focuses on the following:3 i, _( u! u$ }6 O

-          Researching and extending China’s environmental successes through the Green Long March, a nationwide program that trains university youth to identify environmental solutions and extend them to more communities: d" P1 A: |/ r' [/ F0 y; C( ^& ?/ |

3 F4 ?4 z9 {0 w" W  L6 l8 t-          Engaging university, business, and civil society partners to train a national alliance of conservation and community service workers

1 f- `" Q- Q2 D-          Creating a China Master’s Degree program in Applied Community Change and Conservation based on the FutureGenerations Graduate School model in the United States. This program will be designed for Protected Area Managers and TuanWuei leaders working to link nature preserve management with community involvement# r, h5 }* m" X' [1 t, G* n

! x  c2 y  M. [/ w5 ?1 l$ U. pThe Project Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining sponsor relations, composing project proposals, drafting program reports, etc.  
: `5 w2 F) Z# V; O; \1 x$ W4 K1 H! M' E0 R
Major Duties and Responsibilities: % ~8 F( m3 _6 [6 W5 G, h7 k0 C

) G2 P( B) s* l0 \1)        Searching potential fundings and develop proposals to apply in consultation with deputy director.5 T' e0 `/ q0 l( L# c

3 F* Z: Y: N2 N+ C$ B2)        Maintain healthy communications with sponsors, and writing program reports, etc.
6 b0 D7 W( E$ g) P  R& U, Q( a  {9 P3 ^: S- T) Q
3)        Assist with project planning and implementation;
& U% l) l4 N- E. o. W7 G" z  ?+ `0 P$ C- E$ @+ {
4)        Assist with the research and evaluation of program proposals from universities students.+ A6 j6 h$ u' P. `

7)        Assist in the organization of meetings, conferences, forums, etc.8 Y% B  w  U0 ~$ H' ?6 ~* c

8)        Maintain a contact database for programs

9)        Perform other coordination tasks as requested by Deputy Director.  E1 F8 J( |2 |) r

Qualifications:
: u- v6 W1 u( G# a
, o: j5 Y* b! s-          Fluency in oral English and Mandarin; excellent English and Chinese writing skills
2 r% p' Y# |7 I) p
& l& d) ~. E/ ?8 A' q-          Excellent knowledge of key environmental and conservation issues in China
9 c, p5 M, k% T+ a  v
4 M6 v; u. B" t-          More than three years of working experience with international environmental NGOs and or related governmental organizations
7 `% p: {3 h2 Z" \9 H: i# J6 p, `
  @: a9 M. I6 P( D( ?-          Experience in fundraising and project proposal development
) ~# `/ p& g: W' M& J5 g, B7 W$ t- w1 h. g* e; E
-          Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or community development are preferred5 P" W. e9 c7 O+ G1 ^8 o" A
; K7 W4 z7 |, [7 M5 F
-          Strong initiative and ability to solve problems( ~, g7 x+ \# S; I; o

& |( E$ C0 q  u- ^! m0 x-          Attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines, positive attitude and good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and achieve common goals+ G& z. a4 y% o! L0 d
